Chevy Traverse Performance

The 2021 Chevy Traverse runs on a 3.6L V6 that gets up to 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. With that kind of performance, it delivers consistent power for both urban driving and passing on the highway. This powertrain pairs with a slick 9-speed automatic transmission. It’s also equipped with stop/start technology, which helps with your fuel economy.

As a passenger-oriented SUV, the Traverse provides a smooth and comfortable ride quality with an absorbent suspension and tight steering. The Traverse has plenty of agility and tackles turns and curves with ease. When properly equipped, the Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

The Traverse has seating for eight people in its standard configuration. If you swap out the second-row bench for a pair of captain’s chairs, you’ll get seating for seven and a convenient center aisle.

All seating positions have an abundance of headroom and legroom for adults to stretch out and relax. Cloth upholstery is standard, but you can upgrade to leather upholstery and add amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel. Tri-zone climate control is also standard.

The Traverse also has room for all your bags. It delivers 23 cubic feet of storage space with the seats up, which expands to 57.8 cubic feet of space with the third row folded. With both the second and third rows folded down though, the maximum cargo space is 98.2 cubic feet. A hands-free power liftgate is also available to make loading and unloading quicker and more convenient.

Chevy Traverse Features

The 2021 Traverse comes with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system and a 7-inch touchscreen. This system offers well-organized menus and a responsive touchscreen with physical knobs and buttons for some features.

Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® are standard, giving you the option to connect your phone to the onboard system for streaming music and accessing information. A Wi-Fi hotspot and Bluetooth® are also standard, while SiriusXM®, an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, a Bose premium sound system, and a rear-seat entertainment system are all available too.

For safety, the Traverse includes a Rear Vision Camera, a Rear Seat Reminder, and Teen Driver technology, which allows you to set limits on speed and audio volume for novice drivers and observe their performance. Several features are optional, such as Front Pedestrian Braking, an HD Surround Vision camera system, rear parking sensors, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, which notifies you if you wander outside of your lane on the highway.
