Following a Maintenance Schedule

Chevy Bolt Maintenance Schedule When you want to get the most out of your Chevy Bolt, following a maintenance schedule will help you do so. Scheduling your car for regular services will keep different systems and parts performing at their best.

During one of these service visits, a skilled technician will check various parts of your vehicle, particularly highly used ones. They will also replace any necessary components according to mileage and Chevy standards.

Every 7,500 Miles

Every 7,500 miles, your Chevy Bolt will need a tire rotation as well as a multi-point inspection conducted by a professional technician. This inspection will include checking:

  • The coolant level
  • Tire wear
  • The brake system
  • For fluid leaks
  • The accelerator pedal

This inspection and tire rotation are meant to be preventative, which means that your mechanic will be able to spot potential issues early, so you can resolve them before they impact your vehicle.

Every 15,000 Miles

Once your Chevy hits 15,000 miles, and every 15,000 miles after that, it will be helpful to replace the windshield wipe blades. Old blades can cause visibility issues during inclement weather, so changing them out will prevent this problem.

At 15,000 miles, you will also need to get a tire rotation and another multi-point inspection.

Every 22,500 Miles

Chevy Bolt Maintenance Schedule Once your Chevy Bolt hits 22,500 miles, it will be time to replace the passenger compartment air filter. This will be especially helpful if you frequently drive in areas with high pollution, allergens, and dust. Additionally, if you notice your windows fogging on the inside or low airflow, that means that it is time for a filter change.

Every 75,000 Miles

At 75,000 miles, you are advised to schedule your Bolt for a tire rotation, multi-point inspection, windshield wiper replacement, and hood or body lift support gas strut replacement.

Depending on the wear of your Bolt, your technician may advise that you replace the gas strut at a later time. This component only needs replacement every 75,000 miles or every five years, whichever comes first.

At this stage, you might also need to replace the brake fluid. You should rely on the advice of your mechanic, as brake fluid only needs to be replaced every five years.

Every 150,000 Miles

At 150,000 miles, you should get your coolant circuits drained and refilled. You may need to replace your air conditioning desiccant as well if you have not done so already.

Once you hit 150,000 miles, your Chevy Bolt will also be ready for:

  • A multi-point inspection.
  • New windshield wipers.
  • Hood or gas strut replacement.
  • A tire rotation.
