2021 Chevy Trax Features

The two trim levels on the Trax share many of the same features, including the performance metrics you’ll find. Both come standard with a 1.4-liter turbo engine that’s paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It’s capable of producing up to 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.

Both trims also come standard in a front-wheel drivetrain, but the option to choose an all-wheel drive one is there. Fuel economy will differ only slightly, with the front-wheel drive models achieving an EPA-estimated 26 city/31 highway MPG. Should you choose an all-wheel drive model instead, you’ll still enjoy an EPA-estimated 23 city/30 highway MPG.

Regardless of drivetrain, you’ll get access to standard StabiliTrak®, a system that can provide electronic stability control and improved traction on the road. It works in a variety of ways and can control such functions as the brakes, torque, and engine power to help you remain steady in adverse conditions.

Chevy Trax LS

The base trim on the Chevy Trax is known as the LS. In this trim, you’ll get standard features such as the Chevy Infotainment 3 System with a 7-inch touchscreen. On the touchscreen, you will be able to access either Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, depending on your smartphone.

On this trim, you’ll find cloth seats and a 4-way manual driver’s seat so that you can find the most comfortable position. Additionally, front passenger will be able to move their seat in two different ways, and you’ll both have 40.8 inches of front legroom so that you can stretch out.

In terms of safety, you’ll find a standard rear vision camera, 10 airbags, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

Chevy Trax LT

The LT trim allows you to upgrade a number of those previous offerings for added comfort and safety. For example, numerous safety features are now available to add to your vehicle for more comprehensive protection. These features include Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Park Assist.

For added comfort, you can now enjoy an available 6-way power driver’s seat that will come with a standard deluxe cloth/leatherette seat trim. Plus, available heated front seats will be a nice addition on cold winter days.

Another cool upgrade involves the technology on the vehicle. For the LT trim, you can choose the available Keyless Open feature. With it, you no longer need to press the buttons on the key fob to lock or unlock your doors. As long as you have the key fob on hand, the doors will unlock or lock seamlessly.
